Corrective & Progressive Disciplinary Action
Corrective or progressive disciplinary action is a process of communicating with an employee the need to improve unacceptable behavior or performance. This type of action should be taken when methods such as coaching and general performance feedback have not been successful. These actions should be applied consistently, while taking into consideration the specific circumstances of each individual case. The University practices a progressive discipline process as outlined in the Standards of Conduct. Examples of Offenses can be found in Attachment A.
