Career Paths
Career development at the University of Virginia is organized around career paths, providing employees resources and support for career growth and providing managers greater flexibility to reward employee capabilities and to meet ever-changing demands.
There are 15 Career "Clusters" and over 125 Career "Paths at the University. Each career path may contain many jobs. Career paths provide information on the common competencies, knowledge and experience needed, by jobs within the career path. Career paths are divided into stages that show career progression through the path. Disclaimer: The University recognizes that work and skills bridge several paths and this chart is meant to identify predominant paths.
