TIAA-CREF Requesting Street Addresses
Posted: May 2, 2012
As part of the USA PATRIOT Act, TIAA-CREF is now required to have a residential street address on file for every participant. There are participants at UVa for whom TIAA-CREF has only a P.O. Box or business address on file. TIAA-CREF will be sending a letter to these participants in the coming weeks asking them to provide their residential street address.
Participants will have the chance to provide their residential street address online by logging into their account, calling TIAA-CREF or by mailing or faxing in the Request for Residential Street Address form. This form and a postage-paid envelope will be enclosed with the letter.
This request is for verification purposes only and will not change the mailing address on file, unless the participant chooses to do so at this time. There are no repercussions for not updating the residential street address at this time, but TIAA-CREF may send additional mailings and communications if a participant chooses not to respond.
