Paid Time Off

The Paid Time Off (PTO) leave program provides employees with leave hours to be used for approved absences from work. PTO may be used for any reason such as vacation, holidays,personal illness, family illness, bereavement, to attend to personal business, etc. The PTO program permits employees to plan time off to better meet their personal needs. Employees are required to receive approval for time off from their immediate supervisor and requests for PTO must comply with established department procedures and policies for time away from work. Administrative leave, military leave, family and medical leave, personal or educational leave, and public service leave are not part of this policy.
